Parents’ Meeting
In order to further reinforce the exchange between parents and school, better facilitate students’ healthy growth and favorable development, practically complete the work in the graduating classes, strengthen the home-school connection as well as ensure the graduates from the 9th grade to get up on the right side, stabilize their thoughts and set clear objectives during the learning process, on the evening of 16th March, Anqing Foreign Language School convened the parents’ meeting in Grade 9.
The main venue of the parents’ meeting was in the School Lecture hall and the parallel sessions took place in each class respectively. At the main venue, Principal Assistant Ling Qian had an amiable talk with parents about the Senior High School Entrance Examination, objectively guided them to be familiar with the exam and comprehensively analyzed the common problems in the Senior High School Entrance Examination. Afterwards, Director Zhang Li with the Teaching Affair Office put forward some issues that required attention and cooperation from family and school. Also, she mentioned the main working hours in the third year of middle schools.
To be specific, Principal Assistant Ling Qian pointed out that school education needed parents’ support and collaboration. The educational effect would be there only if family and school formed a composite force. In other words, students’ healthy growth could be realized only if we intensified the home-school connection.
On the other hand, at the parallel sessions, head teachers and subject teachers  communicated with parents in regard to the problems and inadequacies faced by students when they entered the 9th grade. In combination with the new problems raised by students, teachers offered parents advice and conducted scientific guidance on how to collaborate with school in addition to enhancing ideological education and psychological counseling to students.
In summary, this parents’ meeting further closed the distance between parents and school, enabled parents to have an initial understanding towards the subsequent work in the graduating classes and highly value it inwardly, laid a solid foundation for the smooth implementation of various tasks in the future as well as played a stimulative role in the development of children and school. Therefore, a great many parents expressed one after another that they would positively support and coordinate with school education, join hands with school and pay adequate attention to children’s study and life in the last phase.
